HOW TO GET MY HOUSE IN ORDER?

Ok i have 2 children...6 ( actually 6 tomorrow) and 18months......I do not have a set schedule, i usually just get my oldest off to school and me and the baby hang out and do house work...and whatever ...........I want to get really organized in everything..............How do i schedule housework without it being an all day every day event? how do i schedule play time, bedtime ect....Its usualy around the same time every day but if something else is going on we get off track.....should i sit down and break each day down into the hours we should be doing what or is it better to just go with the flow?......I want my kids to have a regular routine but don't want them overwhelmed with times events...........Also anyone have any idas on how to keep the house clean all the time...I walk into others house and everything seems to be in order...but mine seems to be tered all the time though i spend several hours a day cleaning.....by the end of the day its crazzy again.
