Please actually read...should I do anything about this guy, or leave it be?

this guy i met at a party kept talking to me and we found out we had a lot in common. he kept touching my leg when talking, so i figured he just wanted . anyway, over time we've seen each other around campus and at parties and he knows a few of my friends. he's the social, guy's guy that every girl likes type, so i thought he was a player, but my guy friend says he's actually nicer than he acts and not as much of a player as one would think. i asked the guy to my formal, but he couldn't make it and told me he'd come to the next one. so when i had another i asked again, but he took 3 days to respond and then said if i still needed a date he could do that! i decided to take my other friend instead. next time i saw the guy he (for the first time) came over and said hi to me (but gave me a fist bump lol) and held an actually longer conversation with me...he seemed very antsy/nervous or something...often i catch him staring at me, but it's just to say hi i guess. is he friendly or interested???
