My Employer can save USD72,000 if he listen to my advice?
In 3 months time, my company is posting me to work in a country in South East Asia. I was told that my employer has made arrangement for me to stay in a a luxury bungalow house and the rental is USD8000.00 per month for 2 years stay. I am in contact with the real estate agent who is the managing agent of this property that the landlord makes a clean profit approximately USD3000.00 beside paying for the bank loan he has taken to purchase this property. So is it advisable for me to ask my employer to purchase a similar property and own it instead of losing USD72,000 in 2 years? ( I was told that a foreigner is allowed to purchase a property and can sell it later and no need to pay any property gain tax). Is this a good idea?
