OMG will they have to amputate?

One of my biggest fears is amputation. Two months ago i cut my finger deep but it completely healed. There's now a bump under the scar and i think it may be scar tissue that might clear up in time. But if i damaged the tendon, will they have to amputate?!? My sister promised me they won't amputate it. And said it was ridiculous that i thought that. I cut it on the top, right below the middle knuckle where it bends. Please don't say they have to amputate it. And don't f*** around and scare me into thinking they will. I'm just asking for reurance. Kay, thanks.
