Trinitarians, why do you deny the preeminence of Jesus?

Genesis 1:26 "Then God said, "Let us make man in OUR image, in OUR likeness, and let them rule over all the earth, and over all the creatures that move along the ground." (CAPS added for emphasis). I respond by saying to you that God is God the Father, Son and Holy Spirit, 3 beings (male) that act in perfect unison. Father - supreme authority, Son - bridgehead to the Father (his sacrifice allows us to join with the Father, Jesus' mission concerned the Truth - perfect union with the Father), Spirit - empowering spirit who allows us to carry out God's work on earth. Any help?
